Authentic Guest Comments, after the renovations:
This is our second stay at Sunset 1. We were told that we were only the second guests since the recent remodel. The place is spotless and the decor tasteful. But best of all were Karleen and Marva. They went out of their way to make our stay perfect, even welcoming friends who popped in for the day, and connecting us with a great doctor who cleared up our daughter's flight-induced ear infection. The meals were excellent, and they were great about putting up with...and even being cheerful about...our ever-changing schedules. We had asked for genuine Jamaican cuisine and Karleen went above and beyond. Lots of local fruits, vegetables and seafood. And her chicken dishes were amazing. Some of us like spicy, and others not, so she cooked two versions of some foods, and kept us happy and well fed with lots of fresh fruit and amazing fresh fruit juices. I would give her cooking 6 stars if that was possible. The house is a short walk to the beach, and after a day spent in the sun, getting the sand off in the simple outdoor shower before a moonlit dip into the pool was a routine that was easy to get used to. The pool and outdoor deck are very private and quiet. All around a wonderful visit and we'll be back again!
