"We stayed at Seagull Cottage at Silver Sands for a week and loved it. The 3-bedroom house is lovely: it is full of Jamaican art, each bedroom has its own bathroom, the front porch is perfect for breakfast, the beautiful backyard is perfect for hotter times of day, the breeze flows through the living room, and the bedrooms have great a/c. Molly and Cheryl were absolutely lovely and made great meals for us. Silver Sands is very quiet, and not for people in search of parties. But the beach is beautiful, the water is warm, and the staff are really nice.
Seagull Cottage has a nice view of the beach, and is only a 2-minute walk to the beach.
We booked through Silver Sands because they have an office on-site, and had no problem getting taxis to Montego Bay for day visits and changing the time of the drive to the airport.
You can buy your own groceries or plan to have them purchased by Molly and Cheryl. We were hoping to eat fish caught from the ocean, but the water was too choppy for fishing. There is also a small commissary on-site if you need. You can also take a local taxi to the small grocery store and bakery in Duncan's for J$200 (approx.).
Overall, I highly recommend Seagull Cottage and I recommend booking through My Silver Sands."
