The Team
Prem, a.k.a. Mr C, Managing Director
"Hi, I'm Prem, or "Praim" for those who appreciate correct pronunciation. With more than three decades under the Jamaican sun, I've picked up a thing or two about this island life. You could say I've become quite familiar with the ins and outs of Silver Sands Jamaica, having made it my second home, spending countless quality moments there with my family over the years.
Having journeyed across the globe and calling places like the US, Canada and England home, I've gained a deep understanding of the varied needs of travelers exploring Jamaica.
Back in the day, before slipping into the world of hospitality, among other endeavours, I was - a garment manufacturer in Kingston, a watersports concessionaire, and busy co-owning a construction company right here on the island. One of my proudest moments? Building the very last road, Birch Hill Lane, at Silver Sands, on the southern side of the development.
Now, I've had my fair share of roles over the years, including time as Chairman of The Silver Sands Cottage Owners Association. And you know what? I still make the trip back to Jamaica every few months. Why? Well, it's to keep an eye on things, personally inspecting the homes, and assisting my Team with performing at their absolute best.
As for credentials, I've got a Masters in Business Administration from Baruch College of the City University of New York, and a Bachelor's of Applied Science, majoring in Industrial Engineering, from the University of Toronto. I started high school in Trinidad and finished in Jamaica. So yes, I've got a bit of paper for those who care about that stuff. But I believe that lifelong learning and practical, hands-on experience is what truly counts, wouldn't you say?
When I first set foot in Silver Sands, I saw it for what it truly is - a haven of authenticity amidst a sea of commercialized resorts. What resonated with me was the genuine sense of community here, where every villa, every staff member, adds their unique flavour to the mix. We are not trying to fit into a mould or cater to a specific demographic; we embrace diversity and welcome guests from all walks of life.
My aim isn't just to meet expectations - it's to surpass them. I want every guest to feel like a cherished member of our community, welcomed with open arms and treated with care. That's why we're devoted to making authentic experiences that make it hard for you to forget us.
At Silver Sands, we pride ourselves on being straightforward and genuine. We don’t make flashy promises or overstate what we offer. I don't like to say that we have paradise or that we are even a resort, but many guests do describe us that way. Our approach is simple: we maintain our standards while embracing the diversity that defines us.
So, when I talk about Silver Sands, I am not selling a product - I am sharing a piece of my heart. I am inviting you to join our family, to experience the warmth and hospitality that define us. Because at the end of the day, Silver Sands Jamaica isn't just a place - it's a feeling, a connection, a home away from home. And I couldn't be more proud to be a part of it."

Nicole, a.k.a. Nicky, Operations Manager
"With over a decade of experience under my belt, I bring a diverse background to my role at Mysilversands. I started out in customer service and inventory management at various local spots like the Trelawny RM Parish Court, Commissary in Silver Sands, Nicky's Variety Store, and Virgo International Petrol Station. Since joining Mysilversands in 2016, I've been all about enhancing guest experiences and keeping things running smoothly. My day-to-day involves overseeing operations, providing leadership, solving challenges, delivering top-notch customer service, and managing accounting tasks. I want to make sure every guest has a fantastic stay".
"Despite my outgoing demeanor when interacting with guests, deep down, I'm truly an introvert who finds joy in bringing smiles to people's faces. For relaxation and quality time, I enjoy watching movies and hanging out with my family - it's something that's always been important to me. Silver Sands holds a special place in my heart since childhood; my father worked here as a lifeguard and bartender for many years, while my mother was a cook in one of the lovely vacation villas. Their love story blossomed here, and Silver Sands has been a part of our family for generations. Being part of the Mysilversands team has not only enriched my personal growth but has also deepened my appreciation for life and its diverse experiences".

Tanesha, a.k.a. Tan, Front Desk Manager
"I came aboard Mysilversands back in 2009, starting out with airport pickups and greeting guests. Back then, I was friendly but a bit on the shy side. But as I met folks from all corners of the globe and interacted with them, I found my confidence growing. These days, I'm here to help guests with anything they need - whether it's booking accommodations, arranging transportation, planning excursions, handling payments, setting up massages, or catering to any special requests they might have. You name it, and I'm on it! I strive to be kind, honest, caring, and humble in all that I do. Working in hospitality has been a real blessing for me - I love nothing more than creating unforgettable experiences for our guests, day in and day out.
I have a deep love for gospel music, finding solace and inspiration in its uplifting melodies and powerful lyrics. Spending quality time with my family is truly precious - we create lasting memories and share lots of laughter. When it comes to movies, I really love romance, comedies, and action-packed flicks. Exploring new destinations, cultures, and cuisines through travel is a real passion of mine. As part of the Mysilversands family, it brings me joy knowing that my efforts contribute to the cherished memories and moments our guests take home with them. Being part of our Team that consistently delivers exceptional service and hospitality fills me with pride - we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those we welcome to Silver Sands. Creating a warm, inviting environment where guests feel like family is our goal. We want them to feel valued, cared for, and at ease, knowing we're always here for them with just a quick call or email. Greeting returning guests by name at the front desk and seeing their delight truly highlights the personal touch we strive to maintain".

Her calm demeanor, paired with that beautiful smile and soothing voice, is just what we need, especially on tough days. As our Front Desk Manager she keeps us on track and knows when someone needs a pick-me-up, even without them saying a word.
Janelle, Guest Service Representative
"I've been in hospitality for over 6 years now. At Mysilversands, I handle a variety of tasks to ensure our guests have a smooth and enjoyable stay. From reaching out to guests before their arrival to ensure everything's in order (like meal requests, groceries, and flight details), to assisting with transportation and excursion planning, I'm here to help make their vacation unforgettable—whether it's over the phone, via email, or in person at the front desk.
Some of my hobbies include reading romance and fantasy novels and jamming out to music (I'm a huge k-pop fan). I'm also quite adventurous, especially when I have some free time, and I love connecting with new people. Being part of the Mysilversands family is a real joy for me. Here, I can truly be myself, and the mutual respect and love we share, not just among ourselves but also with our guests, is something truly special. I am so excited to meet new people from diverse backgrounds and cultures - it's always fascinating and enriching to learn from others' experiences and perspectives. One of the highlights of my time at Mysilversands was a memorable interaction with a guest a few months back. She was thrilled for her second visit, all because my Team and I exceeded her expectations during her first stay at Silver Sands. When she swung by the desk, we chatted for a while, and her happiness was contagious. These sort of moments make me love what I do even more".

She's incredibly sharp and has an amazing memory - we can always count on her to remember things we've forgotten. Whenever she's around, her pleasant demeanor and friendly attitude never fail to bring a smile to our faces, especially when she breaks out into song while working.

"I've been in hospitality for over 5 years now. You'll often find me welcoming guests at the airport, tackling emails and phone calls, and helping guests with any questions they might have. I want to make sure everyone feels right at home from the moment they arrive".
"In my free time, I will be hanging out with my family, grooving to some tunes, or whipping up something delicious in the kitchen. I'm a people person through and through - I thrive on meeting new faces and soaking up different experiences. One thing I really appreciate about my job is the flexibility it offers, along with the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Here's a fun tidbit: I once greeted a guest at the airport, and when I called to give them a welcome chat, they couldn't stop raving about how great their airport welcome was - little did they know, it was me who greeted them"!

With 9 years of experience in customer service, I bring top-notch communication and interpersonal skills to the table.
