Chucky's Country Trail from Silver Sands Jamaica
Come, take a walk with Chucky.
The best time is early in the morning, after sunrise, when it is still cool and the warm sunlight casts a golden glow on the scenery across Silver Sands Jamaica.
Chucky, the carver and craftsman, has created a tour which he calls Chucky’s Country Trail. Chucky’s tour begins at the Fisherman’s Beach (also known as the Jacob Taylor Beach) which is situated next door to the villas at Silver Sands.
The trail takes guests Westwards, in the direction of White Bay and Burwood Beach.
The tour includes walking along the coast and up some cliffs, so good shoes are recommended. Hiking boots are not necessary. But no flip flops! Chucky will give you a Jamaican history lesson and tell you about the plants, fruits, and animals that you will see along the way.
Chucky recommends you be prepared with a wide-brimmed hat, insect repellant and water. And don’t forget your camera! Dress for hiking, not for the beach.
But here’s a tip - wear a swimsuit under your clothes, so when you return to Silver Sands, you can head straight to the beach for a nice, cool, refreshing swim.
Chucky’s Country Trail takes three to four hours. He is flexible and will tailor the tour to suit his guests.
