Authorisation for Travel to Jamaica

Step by step, how to register for Authorization to Travel to Jamaica during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Have your passport at hand.

1. Go to the Visit Jamaica web site and you will be greeted with this screen. We have added a RED ARROW to indicate where to click to advance to the next screen. Click "Find out more..."


2. Moving through these screens is easy and very fast. Click the "Register" button and advance to the next screen.


3. Visitors to Jamaica, click the "No" button.


4. The Welcome to Non Resident Online Application screen requires your email address. Enter it and click the "Send One Time Password" for email verification code in order to proceed.


5. After entering the code emailed to you, the Registration process begins and your personal details are required.


6. Fill out the Traveller Information and click the "Next" button. Note, if you indicate that there are family members travelling with you, their details will also be required separately.


7. The next screen requires you to confirm the important ID information, which includes your Passport Number. Click the "Confirm" button.


8. Fill out the Health Status questionnaire, and click the "Next" button.


9. Select Villa/Apartment from the Type of Accommodation drop-down menu, whcih you will find marked with a red oval in the top left corner of the screen. The screen will refresh and the drop-down menu with the List of Villas/Apartments will become available for selection. Choose the name of the accommodation that you have booked. Only accommodation that has been inspected and deemed by the Government of Jamaica to be Covid-19 Protocol Compliant will be on this list. You will not get authorisation to travel to stay in a villa/apartment that is NOT on the list.


10. Enter the address of the Accommodation and/or move the pin on the Map of Jamaica to the exact location. Use the + and - on the bottom right corner to zoom on the map. Click the "Next" button to advance.


11. Agree to the Consent form and the Declaration, and click the "Next" button to advance.



12. Now, you are nearly done! Fill out the Immigration and Custom Card. Click "Yes" to the declaration and click the "Submit" button. 



13. The Government of Jamaica thanks you for submitting your application for Authorisation to Travel. Click the "OK" button.


14. Your results. No problems, and you are approved. You are required to present a copy of this Approval on entry to Jamaica, so click the "download" icon and save the dcoument.
