Stir It Up: Annual Film and Music Festival to be held in Montego Bay
The annual Stir It Up film and music festival will be held from 31 Aug to 3 Sep 2011 at Rose Hall Great House in Montego Bay.
The festival will see the participation of film and music industry professionals from African, Caribbean and Pacific countries.
The events will include performances, screenings, workshops and conferences on film, music and other topics related to Caribbean culture and world music. Emerging musicians and film-makers, who have been chosen by online voters and experts, will also perform live and screen their work.
This year, the festival will feature names including Chronic Jester, JeBron, Kotadama’s Chris and Evan Brown, Lazo, Marcus, Muza, Napoleon Da Legend, Radio la Chusma, Rayandra, and Zion TPL, among others.
Montego Bay is one of the leading tourist destinations in Jamaica. It was voted as the leading beach destination in the world for the year 2010, at the World Travel Awards ceremony held in London.
