Book Early for the Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival, January 23 - 29, 2011
The Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival, a three-day musical event, attracts over 30,000 patrons each year. The 2011 festival will be held from January 23 to January 29, with concerts in Kingston, Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. Aside from the unforgettable musical extravaganza, the festival gives you the perfect opportunity to savour delicious Jamaican and international cuisine and admire the crafts of artisans from all over the island.
The 2011 event will mark the 15th year of the festival which originally focused on the genres of Jazz and Blues. Over the years it grew to encompass a wide mix of musical genres including R&B, Gospel, Caribbean, World-Music, Latin, and Country, among others. And, of course, it goes without saying, traditional Reggae music is a must. However, the name continues to remain “Jazz and Blues” as it is a name that people have grown to know and love.
