Once you head into the interior, you are heading into the hills and valleys where Jamaica looks very different from the typical holiday advertising photographs that plaster the walls of travel shops. Many say that this is the real Jamaica.
Brown's Town is a major Jamaican commercial centre, easily accessible from Silver Sands. It's a typical Jamaican town, with a thriving market. Many repeat guests, those in the know, take their villa staff up to Brown's Town where all fresh fruit and vegetables can be purchased at much lower prices than in Duncans, where "tourist prices" are the order of the day.
