More About Silver Pointe Cottage in Silver Sands Jamaica

We cannot say enough good things about our stay at Silver Pointe Cottage. We stayed there the week of April 22, 2012 for my Birthday and our 20^th wedding anniversary.

Arrival
Silver Sands offered free airport transportation. Since we were already on the island they were nice enough to pick us up at Scotchies in Montego Bay. Making these arrangements was very easy and the staff at Silver Sands was very helpful and accommodating. Our driver, Mr. Mason, was on time and is a very pleasant and safe driver. We arrived at Silver Sands without any problems. Mr. Mason also returned us to the airport for our departure.

The Villa
We were very happy with the villa. You cannot get any closer to the water than Silver Pointe. Everything was just as advertised. The bed was very comfortable and the AC worked well in the bedroom. The villa has a great stereo (bring your own IPod cable). We ate most of our meals on the patio overlooking the gazebo and ocean. The villa also has a tv in both the living room and bedroom. The wifi also worked great. The bathroom is huge with the large jetted tub and shower. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need.

Staff
We arrived mid afternoon and met Marcia. Marcia was great and had our first dinner ready and it was wonderful. We discussed our dinner plans for the week and every meal was incredible. We purchased fruits and veggies from the truck that came three times a week. We would walk over to the fisherman’s beach a couple of mornings and purchase fresh fish for dinner. Marcia would look out for us by checking out our drivers and giving us advice for our day trips. Over the week we got to know Marcia very well and she is a very special person.

Silver Sands
The community is very peaceful and secure. The store has just about everything you need. The beach was beautiful and clean. We did not eat at the restaurant because we had such good food at the villa. We enjoyed walking around the property looking at the various villas. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We saw some beautiful wedding at the gazebo. We would go over to Leroy’s in the evenings and had a great time hanging with the locals and other guest of Silver Sands. One of the wedding parties had their reception at Leroy’s and it was quite the party.

Conclusion
We loved our week at Silver Sands. I would recommend it to anyone. We will definitely be back and plan to bring our Grandkids here in the future.
