Upcoming Events in Jamaica 2011

There is no time like now to visit Jamaica especially if you want to celebrate its legendary music. The last few days of January will see the celebration of the globally popular events, the Jazz & Blues Festival (Jan. 23 - 29, 2011) and Lime All-Island Carnival (Jan. 29 - April 29, 2011).

The Jazz & Blues festival will take place at Trelawny Multi-Purpose Stadium just east of the island’s tourist capital, Montego Bay and will have performances by winner of three Grammy awards, the Maroon 5 band, Air Supply, Laura Izubor, Regina Belle, SWV, Ron Isley, Alison Hinds, Brenda Russell, Phil Perry and Diana King.

From January 29 to April 29, the streets of Jamaica will come alive with the Lime All-Island Carnival. A series of 10 fun-filled, high-energy events will take place across the island and will include live entertainment from popular soca and dancehall performers.
