Jamaica Tourist Board Wins Two Flight Center USA Awards
The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) won two awards during the recent Flight Centre USA Partner Conference held in New Jersey, USA.
The awards were based on the results of a survey of the more than 1,000 travel agents in Flight Centre’s network. JTB was recognized with Best Customer Service for a Tourist Board and Best Marketing Campaign. JTB Regional Director, Airline & Tour Operator Anthony King was on hand to accept the awards.
Over 130 of Flight Centre’s key suppliers gathered to participate in the inaugural conference where the theme was partnership and celebration. The conference also included a series of workshops and seminars as well as presentations by the company’s senior business leaders.
“The Jamaica Tourist Board’s sales team has been doing a great job in keeping the destination top of mind for potential travelers,” said Director of Tourism John Lynch. “Being honored by the travel agent community underscores the agent’s confidence in the value of our tourism product. We appreciate the ongoing support and commitment to Jamaica.”
The awards couldn’t have come at a better time with many people planning their winter getaways. Canada has already increased the number of flights to the island to cater to the large number of people travelling to Jamaica for the high season which falls between mid-December to mid-April.
Jamaica believes in providing a unique holiday experience to its visitors and accordingly provides a wide range of Jamaica villas and cottages facing the Caribbean Sea or self-catering Jamaica apartments in the centre of resort towns such as Ocho Rios. For visitors who wish to stay in private Jamaica rentals it is advisable to make their booking while there is still time and Jamaica accommodation still available.
